Lecturer in Fashion Design
Bronwen Marshall joined Middlesex University in 2012 as a Visiting Lecturer in Fashion and was quickly made a core member of staff on the Fashion Design Degree. She has also been a Visiting Lecturer at The Royal College of Art and Bournemouth University of the Arts.
She was awarded a First Class Honers Degree from Middlesex in 2004 and after three years as a freelance designer, cutter and maker was given a place on the Menswear MA at the RCA. She won a few prestigious prizes and closed the show in 2009. With press from Dazed and Confused and iD magazine started a couture menswear shirt company with a piece being exhibited in The Victoria and Albert Museum. Bronwen has also worked closely with fellow Mdx alumni Christopher Raeburn as a men’s and womenswear designer, cutter and project manager.
Bronwen’s research interests lie in craft and technique within the fashion industry and traditional methods of construction and finish for a modern market.
